"Still not sure?"

Look, lets not beat about the bush.  You know that you should quit - yet still it is hard to take that step.  Much as your mind tells you that you really should stop, somehow your body just won't go along with it.  We discussed this already, remember?  That is precisely the power of your subconscious mind over-ruling your sensible rational mind.  Then, to justify your inaction, your rational mind has to come up with some plausible reasons for why you should not stop smoking today.   Perhaps these are some of the ones you have been thinking of:

"I've tried too many times before - it is just too difficult."

Much as you would like to be able to stop, you don't want to fail again.   I quite understand that.  Maybe you fear that you are beyond hope and help, and that there is no way that you will ever be able to break free from your addiction.  That, of course, is exactly why you need a system that will tackle the root, subconscious, reasons for why you continue to smoke.  Until these are resolved, any attempts to break the habit just by willpower will definitely fail, and that includes systems like medication, and nicotine supplements (patches and gums).  If you have tried those and failed, is it not time you tried something that will tackle those deeper issues?

"It's too expensive.  I can find a cheaper system - or maybe I'll just quit on my own"

Maybe you can.  But bear these points in mind:

1) Every week you spend looking for another system is probably costing you over $30.  That means that if you spend another three weeks or so thinking about this, you will already have spent more than The Guaranteed Way to Stop Smoking costs - and, most likely, you will still be no further ahead in terms of becoming smoke-free.

2) A cheap system is only cheap if it works.  How many systems have you already tried that have not worked?  Can you afford to go through all that again?   And if it is so easy to quit by yourself - how come you have not done it yet?

"Actually, I quite like smoking and don't really want to quit at all."

So is that you, or your addiction talking?  Well, I can't force you.  But as a doctor I would strongly urge you to reconsider.  But perhaps you are worried that if you stop smoking, then for the rest of your life you will feel like you have been deprived of something that you consider to be relaxing and enjoyable?   That every day will be a struggle of self-denial?  This is where I want to stress the difference between an ex-smoker and a non-smoker.

An ex-smoker is constantly thinking about the cigarette that he is not allowed.  Consequently, every day is a torture of some degree.

A non-smoker, on the other hand, has no such thoughts at all.  Far from missing the cigarettes, he is enjoying having more money, sweeter breath, more acute taste for foods, fresh smelling clothes, an healthier complexion, and a longer life expectancy.  For non-smokers there is no torture - only freedom.

The Guaranteed Way to Stop Smoking will help you to become a non-smoker, not an ex-smoker.

Let's face it, there are a million and one reasons why you should not give up smoking today.  But in the end you know that the only one you are deceiving is yourself.  If you don't quit now, when will you?
